VR Experience

When the Africa Mercy docked in Cameroon, Edith and her mother made the long journey from their remote village in search of healing. Their path was filled with challenges — from navigating jungle trails to reaching a bustling port they had never seen before.

Now, through VR, you can walk beside them on every step of that journey, from the uncertainty of the village to the hope found on board. In 360° you’ll step onto the hospital ship, enter the wards, and witness the moment their lives were transformed. This immersive experience allows you to see, hear, and feel the mission of Mercy Ships as if you were there yourself — all without leaving port.

Free world-class surgical care.

We bring surgical care to some of the most underserved regions in Africa — free of charge.

Across sub-Saharan Africa, millions of people live without access to safe, affordable medical care. Treatable conditions such as cleft lips, cataracts, or tumors often go untreated for years — not because the solutions don’t exist, but because they’re out of reach. Mercy Ships operates the world’s largest civilian hospital ships, staffed by volunteer medical professionals who provide free surgeries, dental care, and post-operative treatment to the poorest and most vulnerable. But we do more than heal — we invest in long-term transformation. Alongside surgical care, Mercy Ships trains and mentors local medical teams to strengthen healthcare systems from within. Each port visit is a commitment to restore lives, build capacity, and offer hope where it's long been deferred. Behind every surgery is a network of donors, volunteers, and business partners who make this mission possible — from Switzerland to Senegal, from boardroom to hospital ship.

With “The Mercy Ships Experience,” you'll see how partnering with us creates impact.

Whether you join our Business Network, support our mission with a gift, or simply spread the word — every effort counts. Discover proof that your support truly changes lives, all without leaving port.

Real Faces.
Real Change.

Before surgery, this young girl lived in isolation. Her facial tumor didn’t just affect her health — it stole her confidence, her opportunities, and the simple joy of being a child. Thanks to Mercy Ships — and partners like you — she received a free, life-changing surgery that lead her from pain to possibility.

Because of Partners like you.

What was once a story of suffering has become one of healing, courage, and renewed hope. Today, she can smile, grow, and dream again. And she’s not alone — every partner helps write a new chapter in lives like hers.
