Across sub-Saharan Africa, millions of people live without access to safe, affordable medical care. Treatable conditions such as cleft lips, cataracts, or tumors often go untreated for years — not because the solutions don’t exist, but because they’re out of reach. Mercy Ships operates the world’s largest civilian hospital ships, staffed by volunteer medical professionals who provide free surgeries, dental care, and post-operative treatment to the poorest and most vulnerable. But we do more than heal — we invest in long-term transformation. Alongside surgical care, Mercy Ships trains and mentors local medical teams to strengthen healthcare systems from within. Each port visit is a commitment to restore lives, build capacity, and offer hope where it's long been deferred. Behind every surgery is a network of donors, volunteers, and business partners who make this mission possible — from Switzerland to Senegal, from boardroom to hospital ship.

What are the goals of the Network?
Our goal is to turn business influence into life-changing impact. The Mercy Ships Business Network exists to: Amplify awareness of Mercy Ships and its mission across Switzerland. Contribute meaningfully to Mercy Ships Switzerland’s annual fundraising goals. Mobilize business resources — funding, expertise, spaces, and connections — to support our medical programs and volunteer operations in Africa.

How much time commitment is required of me?
There’s no fixed time requirement — your involvement can be as light or as active as you choose. Some members simply support financially and stay informed through updates, while others attend events, host gatherings, or actively promote the mission in their networks. Whether you join quietly or lead boldly, your partnership makes a difference.
Do you have any vacancy?
Joining the network means standing together with companies that want their success to mean something, not just for shareholders, but for humanity. Becoming part of the Mercy Ships Business Network means more than just financial support, it’s a commitment to shared values and purpose-driven action. Here’s what we ask of our members: Annual Contribution Commit to a minimum donation of CHF 1,500 per year, for an initial period of three years.
